See the unveiling of the mural "Evening" by Aleathea Sapp-Jimenez, first in a series about Restaurant Row, 12 restaurants in three blocks on the Avenue.

There is going to be an unveiling of the "Evening" panel of Restaurant Row at SoulBk at 10 am on Saturday, February 24th. There will be free food, drinks and entertainment. This is the first of three unveilings; the next will be in March and then one more in April. We are going to transform three blocks of Nostrand Avenue with twelve restaurants into the place to be for eating, drinking, music, art and more. My art show opens this Saturday 4-9pm at My Gallery NYC at 587 Franklin Avenue. The featured artist is Aleathea Sapp-Jimenez. She is really good. I would advise everyone to take a look at her work. The colors, the depth of feeling, her humanity are all evident.

Check out Family and Friends of the Wrongfully Convicted. Derrick Hamilton the head of this organization was framed and spent many years in prison. He got out and devoted himself to helping others. The organization has done some amazing things. Adversity became triumph -- a message for everyone.

Crown Heights Community Organization will be having an art show at Darla Ebanks' My Gallery NYC at 587 Franklin Avenue (at the corner of Pacific St.) January 26 to 28. January 26 will be a preview, the reception and opening will be on January 27, 4pm to 9pm and closing will be on the 28th. Hello I am new to this site. I run Crown Heights Community Organization, which seeks to link different organizations to effectively help each one accomplish its goals. I particularly support non-profits such as Success to Freedom, an innocence project, Little Brothers, which pays visits to the elderly in danger of isolation, Block Associations, such St. Marks Independent Block Association and Brooklyn Avenue Block Association, and certain businesses such as Crown Heights Street Care, Bree&Milly, Bobbie Allison, Rehab Haven, E-Kutz, SoulBK, VivLivPublishing and more.
