We are Studio ONI Ltd., an animation studio based in Tokyo, dedicated to blending Japan’s traditional culture with innovative animation techniques.

In our animation, the backgrounds are hand-painted using traditional sumi-e (ink wash painting), while the characters are drawn with digital sumi-e techniques. This fusion of tradition and modern technology has allowed us to create a one-of-a-kind animation style that is unlike anything else in the world.

A new manga project, "Studio ONI Story," is starting!

Currently, Studio ONI is working on a large project, so in the meantime, the production of our sumi-e animation "Operation ONI" will be paused. During this period, we will start posting this new manga project!
